Hello guys, so I remade Iuvenis again. This time, using the DnD 5e system. I had some help with my DM for this to work but here goes nothing:
This is still our girl with a twist in her backstory.
Iuvenis was born a noble. Traced back to years long heritage of wizardry, Iuvenis was the daughter of a renown wizard family, whom residence lies in the North Ward of Waterdeep. She was expected to follow the footsteps of her family. She was gifted, in a way.
However, siblings rivalry made her lose confidence. If she was going to be the best, she was going to choose her own path, instead of being overshadowed by her genius wizard brother.
She ran away from her home once, and befriended some dwarves in the city. Their passion for smithing generated a new inspiration in her. She was going to be the best smiths in the world. Despite this, she couldn't stop tinkering with magic, it was in her blood.
The dwarves urges her to go back to her family to nurture her talent, so reluctantly, she went back. After a lot of pleading, crying and threatening, Iuvenis's family decided to let her go. The shame of having an craftsman for a daughter made them insist that Iuvenis to forget her last name. She was socially disowned. Her mother however insist she would have a place in their home at any time, but aside from a place to stay, the family refuses to offer anything else.
Iuvenis packed up, and joined her friends, who started training her in the smithing trade. The dwarves knew her talent lies in something more. They encourage her to become an artificer instead.
Fast-forward, at the age of 18, Iuvenis finished her apprenticeship and ready to start a proper job but when her family learned of this, they didn't want her to be a nobody in Waterdeep. It was too much shame. So they sent her away for the last time, to an acquaintance by the name Sildar Hallwinter in Neverwinter, hoping he'd arrange something for her.
When Iuvenis arrived in Neverwinter with her family servants, they tossed her some money and some supplies and left her to find the acquaintance herself.
She met him, but found out he was going to journey to Phandalin and couldn't assist her. Seeing the journey as an opportunity for self-sufficiency (a job! aha!), she asked to be recruited as one of the escort without much thought.
And therefore her adventurer starts.
An intro into what would be in the sessions to come.
